A little about me, I am a mom of two beautiful children whom I have both breastfed. I have gone through a lot of ups and downs, and I couldn’t have succeeded without all the support I received from other moms. One of my favorite moments was when I could sit back and rock in my rocking chair with my baby on me, feeling the bond between us during a feed. It’s a moment where nothing else matters, and there’s nowhere else you need to be.
But it didn’t all come so easily. The exhaustion, the engorgement, the mastitis, the pumping – they all came with stress. There were times I didn’t know if I could continue. I had to find the strength and seek help so I could continue feeding my baby. Formula feeding wasn’t even an option, not because formula wasn’t good, but because once my daughter knew the breast, she had no idea how to drink from a bottle. She refused to drink from anything else but me. So I had to find it in me to continue… for her.”
